J and I swam in dangerous waters today... Yes it's true, we embarked upon that most trying of all marital encounters. It was the dreaded...
Home improvement project!
As is true of many married couples- there are a few things that J and I are unable to do together without usually having some sort of conflict. Furniture assembly and moving large pieces of furniture come to mind. Added to that list would be any sort of renovation or home repair.
Today, however, we needed to do some weatherproofing in our garage. As you may recall, last summer we converted part of our garage into a room for Teenage Son. Since it's actually gotten cold enough to freeze the last couple of nights, we needed to put some sort of insulation on the inside of the wooden, roll-up door. After doing a little research online- we decided to give this product a try. And being the wild and crazy couple that we are, we decided to install it together. So armed with two rolls of product, scissors, and a staple gun- we went to work...
You know what? It was fine! The whole project took little more than an hour and cost a total of $30.00. It was super easy to install and best of all- it was actually kind of fun to do it together...
Who knew home improvement and marriage improvement could actually go hand in hand?
