Prayers for Dave...

I spent the evening at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose visiting our good friend, Dave in ICU. It seems that Dave developed a blinding headache earlier today. He then developed weakness on the right side of his body. A trip to the ER revealed that he had a large blood clot on the left side of his brain.

Since he was relatively stable, they admitted him to the ICU and scheduled him for neurosurgery tomorrow morning. The surgeon is coming down from Stanford to do the procedure and hopes to remove the blood clot through a minimally invasive, 3 hour procedure. Otherwise, they will have to remove a piece of Dave's skull to get to the clot. Either way he is looking at at least a week in the hospital plus additional recovery time at home.

So please pray for Dave on Tuesday morning. His surgery is scheduled for 10:00 am...

Thank you.

Postscript- Dave's surgery went well today. They were able to do the less invasive procedure and relieve the pressure on his brain. He will still be in the hospital for about a week, but everything looks good for a full recovery!
