LOST in my own thoughts...

I've never been particularly good at waiting... I was the kid who always searched through my mom's closet in the weeks beforehand, and knew what I was getting for Christmas. It probably didn't help that, as an only child, I was basically pretty spoiled and usually got what I asked for anyway...To this day, my husband has a hard time surprising me for any special occasion. Can I help it if I stumbled across the receipt for my birthday gift last year? Just because it was the week before my birthday and I happened to be searching through shoe boxes filled with bills from 2001- it's not like I was snooping or anything... (If I say it often enough, even I'll believe it, right?)

Anyway- one of my least favorite things in the world is cliffhanger endings! (Again, did I mention that I don't like waiting?!!) I hate investing a whole season in a show only to be left hanging until the next season. That's why I was so happy with the season finale of LOST last night... It was the perfect balance of 'closure' with enough intrigue thrown in to keep me looking forward to next season- although having to wait all the way until January is a little annoying, but I'm trying not to be too picky. (Did I mentioned that I was spoiled as a child?) Even Charlie's noble death served a purpose in the storyline for a change. One of the best compliments the show received last night was from my husband who commented, "This week the writers only took one crack hit" meaning the story line was less convoluted than usual... High praise indeed!

So here is my best prediction of how season three will start:

1. Yes, Charlie is really dead, but we'll see lots of him in flashbacks etc.
2. Ben was not lying. Naomi is bad and is bringing trouble to the island.
3. Season three will see the Others and the Losties join together to fight Naomi's gang.

So there it is, I am officially on record... I've gotta go, my next birthday is only 3 months away and I feel a sudden urge to sort through old bills...

What not a LOST lover? BTW I laughed when I read your comment about the teenage girl sitting behind you and singing along with Wicked... I remember a girl who used to sing loudly next to me at Christian concerts ;-)
