Last week Missy over at It's Almost Naptime was kind enough to mention my easy sausage soup recipe on her blog...
Since I have this ongoing head cold from H-E-double hockey sticks- we've been eating a lot of soup around here lately too. Tonight I was in the mood to make something new, so I made Missy's I've Got a Hankerin' for Some Texas Taco Soup recipe.
And all I can say is it rocks! If you are looking for a great hearty soup recipe, try it out. It would be great with this cold and rainy weather or on Superbowl Sunday. We ate it with grated cheese on top and tortilla chips on the side.
Be forewarned that it makes a big batch of soup! We are a family of five and only ate about 1/2 of the pot... I'm thinking these leftovers will actually get eaten though...
Oh and for those of you who read my blog locally- Safeway carries Rotel next to the canned tomatoes, I think Lucky and PW stock it on the Hispanic foods aisle...

Hello :)
I wanted to let you know that I sent an email to the email your husband gave me to show you the design I did for your blog. :)
Lara
The fact that Rotel needed an explanation cracks me up. Here you can even find generic Rotel.
I thought California and Texas cooked alike...guess not!
