The strand test update...

So I mentioned earlier today that I was trying the henna haircolor from LUSH. I grated off a piece of the henna bar, mixed it with boiling water, painted it on a section of hair, wraped it in saran wrap, and let it sit for 3 hours. And while I don't usually bother with a strand test- I've never used straight henna before and I was really paranoid about the color being overpoweringly red.

Since I am already a dark brunette- it turns out that I didn't really need to worry. The color is subtle- not too subtle, but definately not the over the top look that I was afraid of. Since the henna is more noticable on my many gray hairs- it looks like I got highlights. One thing I do love about the product is the smell- it smells fresh and herbal, not the same type of chemical smell you get from a box color. So sometime this weekend I'll finish the process and do my whole head- I'm just not sure when I'll have time to let it sit on my hair for 4-6 hours without having to run out to the store ,etc.

One of the other things I picked up was the LUSH Godiva shampoo bar. Wow! I love this product. It was super easy to use and created a really rich lather. It rinsed off easily and left my hair squeaky clean, yummy smelling, bouncy, and soft. I'm definately sold on it!

And right now, at this very moment, Young Son is in the tub trying the Waving Not Drowning bath bomb- "perfect before bed to bring on sweet dreams. Drop one of these in the tub for soft lilac water and a soothing, lavender fragrance to help you unwind after a long day. Fennel essential oil eases your worries so you can forget about counting sheep and get a decent night's sleep. Never travel without one."

Now you need to know that Young Son is my night owl, and he always struggles to fall asleep quickly. So if this bath bomb works as well as the shampoo bar- I expect Young Son to fall asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow...

And if that happens- I won't just be a believer, I'll buy stock in LUSH!

LOL! I'm so glad you liked it. Godiva is my favorite shampoo bar. I have it and Ultimate Shine. I need to post my big shampoo bar test soon :)

Oh, and Waving not Drowning is my LEAST favorite bath bomb! But I can see where others could love it...there's just one smell in there that bothers me.
