Goodbye baby... Hello son.

It just happened... Only moments ago... The day that I knew was coming, but I've been dreading...

When being picked up by his morning carpool, Young Son declined to kiss me goodbye in front of his classmate.

(sob)

I knew I was living on borrowed time. After all, he is almost 11. But he has always been my snuggler and is by far the most affectionate of my three. He delighted in giving me kisses and hugs- even in the most public of places.

But he is growing up, and he's not my baby anymore. Honestly he hasn't been a baby for a long time...

Except in my heart. Where he will always be my baby boy.

Awww.. I sooo feel for you! My baby is 13. Take heart, though. All is not lost - my son will hug and kiss me when I least expect it, and in public. It is just at his own time, his own pace. :)

Hey fellow blogger.. I have an 11 year old son also and he doesn't want to kiss either of his parents in front of other kids.. I guess they think they are too old for that..

By the way, I love your blog and the tip for packing a go box.. I will use that one when we move.

He's from Nebraska and says that his school cafeteria used to serve chili and cinnamon rolls together! How weird is that?

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Couple of nights ago, I went in to snuggle Shep after he was in bed. He was asleep but he shook his head and pulled away from me. I had a sad premonition :(
