Desk shopping and more...

Today we went to Ikea after church to buy Teenage Daughter a new desk. She has moved to our neighborhood middle school this year, and needs a better study space...

After having lunch in the store, we hit the showrooms. She picked out this desk. We vetoed it since it is way too large for the space she has. So she settled on another instead (I was going to put a picture of it here, but it seems to be the only one that they don't show on their website!). She did also find a very nice chair that was a great price.

Since she's been needing a new bed for awhile, she chose this as well. She managed to talk us into a full instead of a twin. Of course that meant she needed new bedding and curtains as well!

While we were at it, we picked out a dresser to match it all.

After all of this, we finally made it from the showroom to the warehouse to pick it all up. Of course everything was in stock except the desk...

So to make a long story short (too late!) we managed to spend way too much money and still didn't get the one thing we went there for.

Just like almost every visit that I make to the grocery store!
